What Could Be The Effect Of Smoking Marijuana While Using Methamphetamines?

my daughter came to me and asked if you could go crazy if you smoked marijuana while using methamphetamines...her friend is acting strangely and she says she cant make any sense out of her conversations with her. Shes 15 yrs. old and has depression issues. I wonder if she has overdosed, but I don t know the symptoms and what if my daughter is wrong about the drug abuse? I dont want to alert her parents, and falsely accuse her if its not the truth. Is it possible for someone to go out of her head and not make any sense because of an allergic reaction to something?

Hi,

Yes, it possible for both marijuana and methamphetamine to cause a person to behave abnormally. Both can cause psychosis and when both are taken together, there is definitely a higher risk. It is not an allergic reaction but is due to the effects of these drugs on the brain. I know it is difficult to tell someone that their child is taking drugs, especially when one is not absolutely sure about the information. But I think you can simply tell them that you have heard about this but you are not sure and then if they wish, they can do something about it. Though I feel that if the child is behaving so abnormally, the parents and the teachers should have noticed first and done something about it.

Best wishes.
