What Could Be The Flat, dime Sized Growth Behind The Ear?

Hi, I have this small, flat, dime sized growth right under the bone behind my right ear. I m told I ve had it since I was a baby but I just discovered it not too long ago. They said I had it checked out but they don t remember what the doctors said it was called. I know there is nothing wrong with me, and I dont think its a lymph node. I m just curious to see what else it could be. Any ideas?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
A dome shaped lesion behind the ear could be due to lymph node enlargement, bony lesion or a soft tissue lesion.
You need to consult your doctor for clinical assessment of the region.
After examination an aspiration cytology of this lesion may be required.
Aspiration of the lesion will sample the cells of the lesion which will help to know the nature and character of lesion.
Further management will follow the result of the investigations.

Thanks and take care
