What Could Be The Long Knot That Looks Like Bruise On Leg?

I am concerned about an approximate 3-4" long knot that looks like a bruise on my leg on the right and above my knee. There is no injury & all I can think of is a blood vessel. I have cronic blood pressure problems. I am currently on two clonidine HCL 0.1 mg twice a day & one Atenolol a day for mitrovalve. My pressure goes up & down and has been known to get to 210 over 110. The swelling in the spot has gone down a good bit since yesterday. Could this be from blood pressure?
