What Could Be The Lump On The Cheek That Suddenly Appeared Overnight And Is Not Hurting?

Hi.

I'm a 40 year old man who woke up this morning with a big lump in the right cheek. I browsed thru other answers about this but couldn't find any similaritys. Last night there was nothing, but now the lump is about two inches long (vertical) and 1 inch wide. It doesn't hurt, it's just uncomfortable. The lump is kind of hard and doesn't give when i press down on it, and it feels like i can move it around in the cheek. I plan to call the doctor over the weekend.

Can you say anything about this lump?
Thank you.

Stein, norway.

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

I would keep a possibility of Angioedema. Angioedema or Quincke's edema is the rapid swelling of the dermis, subcutaneous tissue, mucosa and submucosal tissues. It can be either Acquired OR Hereditary Angioedema.

I would advice that you see a dermatologist for a proper evaluation and treatment.

take care
regards
