What Could Be The Reason Behind Itchy Throat, dry Cough With No Help From Robitissun And Amoxicillin During Second Trimester Of Pregnancy?

Hi, my wife is in her second trimester of pregnancy and shes been have these severe dry coughs for almost a week. She doesnt have the cold nor the flu the only things she feels is her throat itches, when she coughs she feels like she is going to vomit. And it gets worse at nights and its difficult for her to go back to sleep. We saw her OBGYN and she prescribed Robitissun and Amoxicillin but its not helping. I couldnt give her honey because she is allergic to it. Is there anything else you could recommend that will help her or could help us diagnosis the cause of the coughs.

Thank You

This could be an environmental allergy, like dust, or perhaps something pet related. I would consider an air purifier in the home aand perhaps an antihistamine. Of course, i wouldn't start any medication without consulting your obstetrician first and making sure it is safe while pregnant.
