What Could Be The Reason For Delayed Periods, Cramping, Brown Spotting, Growth In The Size Of The Stomach?

My wife is now 2.5 weeks late on menstrual cycle. she is usually very consistent with her cycle. it has been accompanied by mild cramping, minimal spotting of a brownish color, and growth in the size of her stomach. she went to the doctor today and they performed a series of blood tests. Tonight the HCG test came back at a value of less than 1. I should add that she already has had four negative home pregnancy tests as well as a fifth negative urine test in the office today. they tested her white blood cell count and the result this evening was a value of 12, which we realize is slightly higher than the average range. She also just got back another test result ESR. It is high at value of 29. My wife is 35 years old and otherwise in decent health. while we will of course follow up with her provider, we were hoping to maybe get some answers this evening as we are a bit nervous. Thank you for any insight you can provide.

Hi there thanks for posting your query at HCM
First of all i would to tell you that both of you should not worry about anything . Everything will be fine. The white blood cell count is also nothing to worry the , the normal range being 4-11. The ESR is also normal as per her age. The symptoms point out to some condition of the uterus like adenomyosis in which the endometrial tissue of the uterus lies in the myomerium and results in cramping pain . The age is 35 at which the hormones start showing some fluctuation which probably could have resulted in amenorrhea . This can only be confirmed by the hormonal status including the estrogen, progesterone
Your doctor will definitely see into this so you need not worry
take care
