What Could Be The Reason For Flatening Of My Fingernails?

Hello Dr. Grief. I couldn t find a catagory that matched my question. I ve noticed that a couple of my fingernails have started flatening out and wonder what would cause this. I wore acrylic nails for many years but have not for the past 3/4 years.

It could be due to anemia or thyroid dysfunction. I would recommend you to get your hemoglobin levels and thyroid function tests done.
