What Could Be The Reason For Having Cold And Cough For A Person With Hypothyroidism?

Sir i am a Shiv Mangal aged 60 years. My recent tests show i have hypothyridism. my tsh level is 37.82 miU/ml and T3 is 69 and T4 IS 5.8. I have been taken regular thyrofit 50 mg tablet. my problem in a week one or two time is Cold and cough store in my chest when we take some medicine is cold and cough.Cold and cough relief and next 4 or 5 days then start cold. Sir I do.

Hi. Hypothyroidism or some sort of allergy causes repeated cough and cold. Better to get this investigated and properly treated by a Doctor. TSH of 37+ may need to increase the dose of your thyrofit. Always do Free T3 and Free T4 with TSh after you stop thyrofit for minimum 3 days and give a morning fasting sample.
