HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) is a common cause of vertigo (sensation of spinning or movement).
The other common causes are (1) vestibular neuronitis (symptoms lasts for hours at a time) and (2)meniere's disease (symptoms last for a few minutes to hours)

BPPV normally causes the episodes for a few seconds to minutes and it occurs with a particular position of the head. It is normally treated by the using the epley or semmont maneuvers which would be done by the doctor.
The symptoms can last up to a few weeks.

She may want to consider a review by a ENT specialist if she is unsure about the diagnosis and treatment.

I hope this helps
