What Could Be The Reason For Having Pain At The Base Of My Tongue Where It Attaches To The Front Of Lower Jaw?

i have pain at the base of my tongue where it attaches to the front of the lower jaw. the soft tissue there. as if i had stuck my tongue out too far. which i didn't do. it just started out as a simple soreness to now it bothers me all the time. it's been several days now. i thought it might be a canker sore but i don't see it.

I would firstly recommend to perform a radio graph (IOPA / OPG) to understand the underlying pathology. Instead of providing you with various simple to complicated reasons and confusing you more.
