What Could Be The Reason For Having Stomach Cramps And On And Off Bleeding?

Hello im a 41 year old female, whom up until now has had no problems with my periods, but i have been bleeding on and off for two weeks now, i had my normal 5 day period but the bleeding then continued a day later..... and for some reason only in the afternoons and early evening.... with very bad stomach cramps, no other syptoms are involved apart from i had two days of fowl smelling blood

Hi,

At 41 years of age, the bleeding you have could be due to:
- Functional uterine hemorrhage
- Uterine infection (doubt due to foul smelling bleeding
- Early menopause (in case yo had 1st menses at about 10-11 years.)
You need to be examined and investigated to find exact cause and have a cause specific treatment. Please consult a gynecologist.
