What Could Be The Reason For Having Swelling And Soreness In Throat?
I have a soar throat. very swollen and hard to swallow feels like if Im eating it will get caught in my throat or does actually. However there is no restriction to my airway. I see some white postules. I had a constant bad headache for a week that has subsided and a swooshing sound in my right ear which I still have. No fever chills joint pain or otherwise. Do you have any ideas of what this could be?
The symptoms mentioned in your post suggests that you might be having Pustular Tonsillitis.
Management consists of: 1. Gargle with warm salt water to relieve throat pain. 2. Analgesics like paracetamol 3. Antibiotics depending upon culture & sensitivity reports to remove the causative organism. 4. Antihistamine preparations like Allegra can also be used to provide symptomatic relief.
If symptoms still persist, it will be better to consult an ENT specialist. Meanwhile, avoid taking cold food & drinks, maintain adequate hydration & take soft, non-spicy foods.
There is no need to worry, you will be fine. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Take care.
