What Could Be The Reason For Pain In Left Side Ribs?

Hi! I am a 40 y/o female with 1 child. Non smoker, non drinker and I excecise 5 days a week. About 3 months ago, I started waking up in the night and in the morning with sharp, stabbing pains in my ribs on the left side. This would happen when trying to take a breath or move. But once I would get up and move around, the pain would stop almost immediately. This would only happen once every 7-10 days. Then the week of Christams, I got a really bad cold that lasted a week. The ribcage pain was every night at that time and my left pectoralis muscle would have the same sharp stabbing pain. The chest muscle pain is now gone and the ribcage pain happens about once a week but not as severe. But now, when I take a deep breath at any time of the day, my ribcage on the same side feels like it is "creaking or grating" No pain assocaited w/this but my ribs do feel sore most of the time. Also, my muscles in my back and neck feel sore w/deep breaths now. Not sure if this is muscle or lung related. Could it be adhesions related to a C section, tummy tuck and breast augmentaion?
