What Could Be The Reason For Scratching Sensation All Over The Body?

hell doctor, recently I have been scratching my body so badly, its so itchy on the head and other part of the body, its kind of painful and when I scratch it it stop and then start again, it usually happen in the evening after I came from work, what could be the problem with me?

Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

The generalized itching of the body is probably due to papular Urticaria (an allergic condition),probably due to thermal changes or excessive perspiration or exposure to some allergens at the workplace.

A regular course of an oral antihistaminic, such as, Levoceterizine; along with a short course of oral steroids, such as, Prednisone will relieve you of the itching.
A single-tablet course of Albendazole (a deworming drug) should be taken as worms infestation is a common condition causing papular Urticaria.


Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me and prescribe the advised drugs in appropriate doses.
