What Could Be The Reason For The Inflamed Soft Palate And Elongated After Having The Food Outside Or Is This Due To Anti-inflammatory Medication?

Hi, came home this afternoon-ate a meal of spicy Jamacian food by the time I was finished my soft palate was inflamed and elongated to the point it touchs my tongue. I am also on an antiinflamantory medication which I am thinking might be the real cause.Help!!!.

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding swelling of palate, though you are on anti inflammatory medicines.

As you said this type of sudden swelling usually occurs in -

1- Patient on anticoagulant medicines and some times with analgesic and anti inflammatory medication.

2- Allergic - Acute allergy by some food.

You may confirm it by-

a- Blood test- CBC, B.T., C.T., Prothrombin time.

For management medical supervision is must.
