General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The early morning hoarseness may be related to allergic rhinosinusitis or your GERD. The secretions related to post nasal drip in allergic rhinosinusitis or the refluxed chemicals can potentially have this effect.

Since you have a history of reflux, you may want to treat for this first. This means : (1)small meals frequently
(2)avoiding the use of spicy/acidic/fatty/fried foods
(3)weight loss of any excess weight
(4)use of reflux medication

I hope this helps
