What Could Be The Red Mark Left By A Pimple?

Hello! Well I have this red mark between my chest that has been here for atleast a month now. It use to be a pimple, now that the pimple cleared there was a red mark left. Recently another pimple grew same spot.. Now I have been trying to get rid of it by washing it with wash. Its going down, but the same red mark is there. What could this be? Is this normal?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history of acne pigmentation. My treatment advice is -
1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with SPF more than thirty.
2. Apply a tretinoin 0.025 %cream once at night on the lesion.
3. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for three months.
If the problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
