What Could Be The Small Bumps On Hands?

My son who is 34 yrs old noticed very small bumps on his hands this morning that are in a linear pattern 3 on one line, 4 on one and so forth for about 4 -5 lines. Bumps are very close together and they don t itch. He said you could see them better in the sunlight. He can t think of anything that he has done differently. Any idea what this could be?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history, linear bumps on exposed area are probably due to some insect bite.
My treatment advice is -
1. Wear full sleeve clothes to avoid further such episodes.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine once daily for 5 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
