What Could Be The Stiffness And Pointed Pain Around Solar Plexus?

How does one differentiate from heartburn and heart related pain around solar plexus region. Last night i had a stiffness and pointed pain around the solar plexus and after i woke up and laid in an upward incline position there was some relief. While inhaling the pain is more prominent . Could this be a muscular pain ?.

Hi
I think yours is a non cardiac pain because you mentioned it's increases with respiration. This is a strong point against cardiac pain.
Cardiac pain usually felt at left side of chest or centre of chest with variable degree of radiation to left inner arm, shoulder, jaw and also towards upper abdomen.
It usually associated with profuse sweating, breathlessness, nausea, vomiting and feeling of impending doom.
A past history of hypertension, diabetes, heart disease etc. may be there.
Pain is precipitated by exertion, height of emotions, or after a heavy meal.
Pain sometimes occur in early I morning hours.
So in your case I think there is nothing to worry.
Still I suggest you to undergo some basic tests like ECG and chest xray, for to diagnose the exact cause of your pain and also to alleviate your apprehension.

Thank you
