What Could Be The The Consequences Of Injecting 1/10cc Of Weakly Diluted Bleach Water Into The Artery Of Right Arm And How To Abate Them?

A friend injected 1/10cc of weakly diluted bleach water into the artery on his right arm. (While performing an injection of IV drug, didnt realize the water in the bottle was in fact a slightly dilute solution of bleach and water). He immediately complained of a severe Hotness in his arm, like something he'd never felt before. Now is very concerned. Arm no longer burns, although there is redness present on much of his lower arm, and there is slight swelling of the tissue near the injection site. What exactly is taking place inside of his body right now, as a result of this? Is there anything he can do to lessen its damage/impact? Is there anything He NEEDS to Do? This injection was an hour ago, and he seems fine. Just concerned about his health. What can this cause in the way of physical (anatomical) damage? Is he going to be ok?

Please clarify whether it is injected into the artery or vein. Injection into veins will spread the drug throughout the body while injection into arteries will lead to vasoconstriction of the distal hand. In any case, if he is fine for first few hours you need not worry. Hope this helps.
