What Could Be The White Haze When Looking Out Of The Right Eye?

I am 63 years old, female. Had cataract surgery two years ago on my right eye. Now I have a white haze when looking out of that eye. Always there. Any suggestions what it might be and should I go to my optometrist before my ophthalmologist?

Thank you

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello,
It seems from the history that you are having haziness in right eye and you have undergone cataract surgery in that eye.
This may be because of after catarct or posterior capsular opacification. This can be treated by a simple office procedure called as YAG capsulotomy.
This requires examination and confirmation of diagnosis by a ophthalmologist.

Hence I advice you to consult ophthalmologist for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
