What Could Be Wrong If Heart Is Racing Causing Shortness Of Breath And Blackouts?
At random times throughout the day my heart begins to beat very fast, almost to the point where I feel like I'm having a heart attack. I get shortness of breath and it becomes hard to breathe after awhile. Lately I've been blacking out when this happens as well. It's been going on for the last few years now, happening a few times a week. I've had an EKG and nothing was wrong. Any ideas as to what's wrong?

As you describe the condition appear to be the arrhythmia of the heart,due to some conduction problems.
The symptoms also may be due to the gastric hyper acidity,or due to anxiety or irritant foods, or peptic ulcer.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment.
You may need to have E.C.G,echo ,gastroscopy,etc for confirmation of the disease.
