What Could Blisters On Tonsil With Foul Taste In Throat Suggest?

Hello, I have 4 flesh looking blisters behind my left tonsil which has all my life been enlarged. It looks like there s a clear liquid in them. I have been experiencing very foul taste on the back of my throat every now and then. Could this be cancer? Thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to herpangina.
Herpangina is a common childhood illness caused by a virus.
It's characterized by small, blister-like ulcers on the roof of the mouth and in the back of the throat.
The infection may also cause a sudden fever, sore throat, headache, and neck pain.
Both conditions are caused by enteroviruses.
I recommend using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.
I also recommend to rest.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
