What Could Bloody Stools During Pregnancy Suggest?

Hello I will first say I m Shai I m 19 I m 6 months pregnant I used the restroom (BM) and I wiped there was blood and I looked in the stool there was a chunk probably the size of a split quarter(if u split a quarter in half) I had a funny feeling in the middle of my belly below my belly button not much of a pin discomfort like the baby moved But it was weird and unusual. I felt a slight cramp about 10 minutes ago.Idk what it could be, it did it last week my monthly appointment is tommrow I was antibiotics for a tooth infection and pain killers.

The most likely explanation for blood in your stool is related to hemorrhoids. These are swellings of the veins around the anus where stool comes out. This is very common in pregnancy and many women use stool softeners which help. I would not panic, and if the blood is definitely only coming from your stool (and not the vagina) then I think that in most cases this could wait until your appointment to discuss further with your OB Provider. If, on the other hand, there is any concern that this is blood coming from the vagina, then you need to call your OB Provider now.
