What Could Brown Coating On Tongue With Bleeding Taste Buds Indicate?
I haven t brushed my tongue in awhile so when I go to do it there s dark brown coating I couldn t scrub it off I had to use a towel to get it off my scrubbing with that. But I looked in mirror before this and I could pinch it together and pull it off really gross like hair but not. Just wondering what it was an now my taste buds r bleeding and sore.
Understanding your concern. As per your query brown coating on tongue with bleeding taste buds indicate enlarged circumvellate papillae or tongue or it can be because of enlarged taste buds(papillitis). Fungal infection such as Candidiasis leads to formation of brown coating and poor oral hygiene exaggerating your symptoms. Maintain good tongue brushing and flossing. use nystatin suspensions. Do tongue scraping very smoothly to prevent debris accumulation. Drink lots of water and keep hydrated as this will also reduce brown tongue. Increase fiber content in your food and start with multivitamins. Consult a oral physician for complete examination and proper management if symptoms keeps on reoccurring. Go for smear examination.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
