What Could Bumps And Blue Veins Indicate?

Hi, I'm a canadian currently living in South Korea. I got food poisoning a few weeks ago and was hooked up to an I.V. The needle used for the I.V, I believe, has cause some blood clotting in my arm. The vein is blue and bumpy... Is this.. or can it turn into a serious problem?

Based on the facts of your query, you seem to suffer from-
Post-IV infusion Thrombophelbitis.
Nothing to worry.This is inflamed vein,from Infused Glucose,with thrombosis in the vein,which makes your vein bumpy and blue.
Thrombophobe- x 2 times a day x 2 weeks.
Tab Advil-400 mg x 5-7 days.
Rest and Elevation with Cold sponging would resolve the health issue.
Hope this would resolve your health issues in the best way possible.

After intra venous injection some times oozing of blood takes place which gets collected in the surrounding area. This is not serious at all. It will subside with the passage of time.
