What Could Canker Sores On Mouth Suggest?

hi. i had some kind of canker sore or tiny cut on the left inside of my mouth that i bit very hard. i woke up this morning and half of my lower lip is swelled twice its size as well as swelling of my left cheek and a pain in my jaw that feels like it could be a severly swollen lymph node. the swollen part of my lip is a yellowish color along with some scabbing, and in my several hours of research i am yet too find anything similar on the internet. can someone please tell me what this could possibly be ?? i have pictures to upload if necessary. thank you

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your explanation a tiny cut or a small ulcer caused by tongue bite does not seems to cause such a severe inflammation and swelling and it seems more like that there has been bug or insect bite of any poisonous organism and the toxic chemical has led to severe allergic reaction causing swollen lip, cheek as well as pain in jaw along with swollen lymph nodes....
The yellowish appearance of lips along with scabbing can occur due to infection at the sting site causing infection and pus formation..

I would suggest you to consult an Allergist and get evaluated and if allergic reaction is diagnosed he can advise you to take anti-allergics/anti-histamines like Cetrizine or fexofendadine [allergra] or diphenhydramine [benadryl] to reduce allergy symptoms..
Steroids like Methylprednisolone can also be advised..
Anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen can be given..
If infection is present antibiotics like Amoxicillin and metronidazole can be gives.
Topical application of steroid and antibacterial ointment can be advised..

In case if reaction is severe injectable anti allergics and steroids cn be given for faster relief from the symptoms..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
