What Could Cause A Persistent Swollen Lump And Breathlessness Over A Year After Rib Fractures From A Car Accident?

Hi. I had a really bad car accident just over a year ago and had a few injuries all over from whiplash to a broken little toe. What I m still concerned about is, I fractured a couple of ribs on my left side. And I ve had this swollen lump where my ribs was fractured. Its about half size of a tennis ball and I really struggle to breath sometimes. Even to walk up one flight of stairs I get out of breath. I do worry cos I know my own body and this doesn t feel right. The swelling has been there since my car accident from March last year. Will it ever dissappear cos it makes me so breathless. I m a 47 year old man. And before this I was usually fit and healthy. Please could anyone help me with some advice please. I know without seeing me in person you can t be accurate but I would really appreciate any possibilities that anyone could help me with. I d really gratefully appreciate it. Kindest regards
