What Could Cause A Pop On The Mouth While Swallowing?
I was swallowing and I heard a pop in my throat in the upper front of my throat. Now it hurts to swallow..Glands have been a bit swollen for a week and has been slightly painful to swallow then just a bit ago, the pop or more snap sound. This area has hurt when I blow my nose in the morning and some when I sneeze. What course of action to take....see doctor now. tomorrow, wait?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Read and understood your history. You history of pop or snap sound in the throat is indicating off the cartilages that make the framework of the throat is making this sound. It looks that you have severe upper respiratory tract infection causing lymph node inflammation and overall edema of the pharynx. I would advise you to visit the Doctor now as early diagnosis and treatment can help you an early recovery and avoidance of the complications like epiglottitis and septicemia as with such infections you can go into complications faster. Go for clinical evaluations and examination, investigations and treatment with antibiotic, anti-inflammatory medicines with symptomatic treatment with painkillers. Take liquid diet and take rest.
