What Could Cause A Pus Pocket At The Back Of The Throat?

I have a puss pocket on back of throat/tonsil area...almost on theroof of my mouth? What could that be? I've read strep, mono and even STD. My throat has been sore, mainly hurts to swallow. Very low grade temp, minor headaches, few chills, and very little fatigue.

hello

Pus pocket is likely to be due to a strep infection and i would like you to meet your ent doctor for confirming this. you may also need antibiotics for the infection. for the time being you can start gargling with warm salt water 3-4 times a day.

Take care!
