What Could Cause A Swelling In The Ear Accompanied With Pain?
pain on outside and in ear canal of ear left, some swelling around outside of left ear, and a small bump under ear lobe. Last night when I lay down I kept waking up because of caughing. I took an over the counter Allegra D, it seems to help for awhile but tonight it hurts. This just started yesterday I noticed the swelling not a lot just inside ear canal opening, in the little flap.

I can understand your problem, this could be ear infection, initially this has to be treated with anti-inflammatory drug some time this gives very good result without anti-biotic, and the best drug would be Ibuprofen 400 mg three times in day, nothing to worry about this, it will be fine soon, bye.
