Hi,
The causes behind a first pregnancy first trimester abortion can vary from hormone imbalance, anatomical defects of the uterus, genetic defects in the embryo, infections, medications, trauma and so on. The exact cause can be known only through a pathological examination of the products of conception removed. Also, 15-20 percent of the pregnancies abort during the first trimester after the confirmation is made and several happen even before it is diagnosed. Please visit a prenatal specialist for further help. You can try for pregnancy again now once possible recurrent causes are excluded and/or handled. Hope this helps.
