What Could Cause Bleeding During Pregnancy?

Hi. I thought I had and may have had a m/c on or around the 8th or 18th. But I m still reading positive on a hpt. If that s the case then I would of conceived on xmas. My hcg went from 52 to 76 in 48 hrs. I m afraid it might be a tubal. My last normal period was november 10th. Conceived on thanksgiving. But started bleeding on the 8th. And then again on the 18th. Could it be left over tissue that didn t exit my body that s causing my hcg levels to raise? I had a tubal reversal feb3, 2010. And have had 3 known m/c since.

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Increase in hCG levels less than 66% in 48 hours is suggestive of ectopic pregnancy. If there would have been an abortion, then the hCG levels would not increase over time.
I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated and treated accordingly in time so that complications can be avoided.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
Regards,
Dr Deepti Verma
