What Could Cause Blood While Coughing And Sore Throat?

hi i m just wondering i have been doin alot of excercise latley running espiecially and ive had a sore throat over two weeks ago but i felt fine after a week i then noticed twice that i coughed up a small little bit of blood it only happend twice with a week apart just wondering should i be worried

thank you for asking your concern and welcome to hcm. the description you have given above gives the impression of a viral sore throat. in viral kind of cough this may happens as the cough is mostly dry after some time but it may be vigorous. during the cough some irritation to inner skin of throat causes expulsion of little amount of blood, it is similar to any injury outside the body. if you are not having cough with some amount of sputum or fever or decrease appetite or decrease weight in last two weeks then you do not need to worry at all. if you have any of it then i would suggest you to take antibiotic like amoxicillin or azithromycin after consulting to your physcisian. other wise no worry. you can do salt water gargle to decrease some discomfort.
