What Could Cause Brown Discharge Following An Intercourse, Periods Ended Recently?

last night I was on what seemed to be the end of my period. I just had very very light pink spotting to where I just needed a panty liner and by mid afternoon there was nothing on the panty liner but last night I had intercourse with my husband and when I woke up the next day there was a lot of brown discharge what does that mean?

Hi,
If you had an unprotected intercourse, the possibility is that the seminal fluid mixed with the vaginal discharge could have given the color. The uterine discharge that may have remained in the vagina without getting expelled out (the last part of the bleeding), has thus been expelled. If that is not the case, you should suspect some local lesions like vaginitis, cervicitis, cervical erosions and/or polyps. Trauma during the intercourse also can lead to some discharge. A clinical appraisal by a specialist will help clarify the issue. Hope this helps.
