What Could Cause Burning Sensation In Collar Bone?

I had arthroscopic knee surgery march 15, 2011. About 3 days after surgery I began experiencing this burning sensation in my collarbone area but closer to my neck. It runs down the length of my shoulder blade. When I lift my arm up it burns so bad. When I stretch my arms to the front it burns really bad too. I have tried ibuprofen and ice. I have used icy hot and have been massaged for it. I have broken my tail bone 2 times but that was 20 years ago. I've never damaged my shoulder. There is also a lump on my neck that is like a knotted muscle. It is a very long drive for me to go to the doctor so if I can do something about this at home please let me know.
