What Could Cause Burning Sensation In Hands?

I am suffering from a burning sensation running down my hand into my thumb, index and middle fingers. My hand feels like it is on fire, but also kind of numb. Almost like I have a burn on it. I had a surgery for a something called keinbocks disease about 2 months ago and I am concerned I may have an infection or something that is making my whole hand so painful.
