What Could Cause Chlamydia?

I have just been dx'd with chlamydia. I have never cheated on my partner of 3.5 years. He say that i had to have gotten it when we had anal sex and then switched to vaginal intercourse without washing first. I do not believe that is is anything but transmitted through sexual contact with an infected person. Am I wrong? Can you get chlamydia but only switching from anal to vaginal intercourse?

I have read through your query in detail.
If you were tested for VDRL and result is negative then chlamydia can still be a possibility.

Around half of all men with chlamydia don't notice any symptoms. If men do get symptoms, the most common include:
pain when urinating
discharge from the tip of the penis (this can be a white, cloudy or watery discharge)
pain in the testicles
