What Could Cause Continuous Fever?

I have been sick for 3 weeks now. I have had a constant fever that goes up and down (usually higher as the day progresses). I take Tylenol every four hours. I took Zithromax 2 weeks ago and felt better for one day, and then the symptoms started right back. I have some days when I have no appetite. I had days of nausea and diarreah. I am tired all the time and getting weaker every day. Do you have any idea what this could be? No one else around me at home or work has gotten this either.

Hi

Thanks for posting your query.

It seems like you are having Infection , could be Bacterial or Viral
But fever lasting for 3 weeks points towards Bacterial infection more. So you need to get tested to know which bacteria has infected you.

I advise you to get Complete Hemogram Widal , Smear for malaria , Urine routine test, Weil Felix test, IgM and IgG Leptospira Antibodies tests done and revert back to me.

Till then you can continue to take Tyelenol for symptom relief. Kindly revert back with the test reports.

Regards.
