Hi,

Kindly repeat the test after 3 to 4 days to confirm the negative test results since you may have a false negative test result (since it may be too early to detect pregnancy in some women). The cause of abdominal pain should be identified. Whether it is a lower abdominal or upper abdominal pain has not been mentioned. Abdominal and pelvic ultrasound may be required to identify the cause.

Meanwhile, pain killers and antispasmodics can be used. Watch for any symptoms of nausea, vomiting, spotting or excess or foul smelling white discharge.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
