What Could Cause Dizziness, Fuzziness And Fatigue After Changing Hypertension Medication?

Hi, I am 48 and generally have high blood pressure. I have taken Atacand and it has been effective for the last few years but it recently stopped working as well. My doctor put me on Atacand Plus. It has been a week of taking one tablet a day and today my bp is 116 over 68 and I feel dizzy, can t think too straight and am very tired with no good reason... also very pale. I wonder if I should halve my dose tomorrow morning (Sunday) before going back to the doctor on Monday? Thanks, Michelle

Dear friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Yes, you can even skip the day’s dose
Postural hypotension / electrolyte disturbance/ even an incidental problem like ear – may be responsible
At times , a silent heart attack may be responsible / Go to ER - to be sure
The treating doctor alone can suggest further based on his assessment of the situation.

Take care
Wishing all well
God bless
