What Could Cause Excessive Sensitivity Of Teeth And Dryness In Throat?

My teeth have been feeling a bit sensitive lately and they hurt when my bottom teeth and top teeth are touching so I have to put my tongue in between them, why is that? Also my throat feels very dry even though I just drank lots of water and the tip of my tongue feels as if I burned it but I didn't and it also feels swollen. Why could that be?

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding sensitivity of teeth and dryness of tongue.

Here I would like to tell you that sensitivity of teeth is always due to exposed nerves of the teeth, this may be due to loss of enamel and dentin by caries. This may also be happen whenever crown of teeth is broken. The sensitive teeth with apical pathology is always becomes painful on pressing.

In most of the oral infections like gingivitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis the mouth cavity appears to dry.

I hope above had answered your query.

Regards.
