What Could Cause Feeling Of Nerve Twitching In Inner Ear While Burping And Yawning?

I have what feels like a nerve twitching in my inner ear.It's off and on,but mostly happens when I yawn,or burp,has been going on for about 6 months,but did stop during the summer months and returned in cooler weather.There is no pain,just annoying Julie

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have feeling of nerve twitching in inner ear while burping and yawning . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , But in yor case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to ETD (eustachian tube dysfunction ) . It usually occur when mucus fron upper respiratory track go inside eustachian tube and block it , which occur due to post nasal drip or throat infection . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order throat swab test , viral culture test and examination of ear with otoscope to rule out condition like tinnitus and ear infection . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , decongestants and expectorant .
