What Could Cause Flare Up Of Psoriasis After A Fever?
Hello, I had an immediate psoriasis flareup after a fever for past 4-5 days. I had been cured from psoriasis for past 6 months almost 90%. Now, I am back to previous skin condition with in a 3-4 days. Currently, I am having light fever with smelly loose motions, I met the doctor but he prescribed few tablets Mahacef-plus, Curepan-DSR, Curenim-Cold and syrup Ashtakind for 3 days . I am not sure why fever caused my psoriasis to flare up and bit worried how to cure my p.
Fever itself can worsen psoriasis. Apart from fever any painkillers/fever medications (commonly NSAIDs) can also lead to increase in the lesions of psoriasis. Another common cause is when people get treated with chloroquine for the fever (supposing it as malaria fever). This leads to sudden aggravation of psoriasis. You have to get treated for the fever as well as update the prescription for psoriasis again. Dont worry for both are easily controllable conditions.
