What Could Cause Flu With Elevated Temperature Inside The Body?
Hi ,I like to ask you why- if I get ill (flu etc) I don't get fever. I feel I am hot inside ,but thermometer never show anything. Sometimes I faint , becouse of high temperature inside me..I am like that since I was a child. I have got brother and he gets 40'C just with sore throat. thanks
Hi. Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Hi First of all check with blood investigations , particularly thyroid function tests .. There are certain medical conditions wherein you can feel the raised inside temperature but the thermometer will show normal one. Like thyrotoxicosis and some rare tumors like carcinoids.
Another point is your own sensitivity. Stress too can give the same feeling. A proper history, clinical examination, investigations as per these findings alone can lead to a proper diagnosis . This is most important to lead to a proper management/ treatment.
