Hi,

The possible causes of the protrusion, according to your history are:
- Sometimes excessive vaginal tissue can appear as protrusion and growth.
- Local causes like cervical polyps, inclusion cysts, etc.

If there are no symptoms like discharge, itching, spotting, etc. because of the protrusion, no need to worry. By clinical examination the exact cause of the growth can be identified and treatment can be planned accordingly. Physiological thickening of vaginal tissue, usually do not need any treatment. Cervical polyps or inclusion cysts may need removal, if they are causing symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sree Gouri S. R., OBGYN
