What Could Cause Insect Bite Feeling Followed By Red Dots All Over Body And Dark Stools?

I have red dots forming all over my body from my stomach to arms and chest. This has been going on for the last 3 months. I ve also had dark colored stools for the last 1 month. When this all started I had insect bite feelings over the same area for a period of 2 days. Those feelings disappeared by red dots started to show up afterwards.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction. The insect bite can be the cause of this reaction. I recommend using an antihistamine such as Cetirizine 10 mg daily. I also recommend using a mild cortisone cream for local application such as Hydrocortisone cream.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
