What Could Cause Lower Heart Rate Of Baby In 6 Weeks And 2 Days As Shown By Ultrasound?
So today feb. 23 I had my first ultra sound! The doc is telling me I'm 6 weeks and 2 days! This doesn't make since! I had my period from the 13-18 of Jan! Shouldn't that make me more like 5 weeks??? I'm concerned because the doc is saying my babies heart rate is lower than it should be! It's in the 80's! If I'm 5 weeks like I feel I am that's considered normal right? I've looked it up a few times now because the doc has me freaked out! Especially since at 6 weeks and 2 days the BPM should be 110-150! Please help me out! The doc told me a few days ago that my due date was going to be Oct. 21 and now is saying the 17th!
Your last menstrual period is on 13th of January. If you have regular 28 to 30 days cycles, you should be 6 weeks by 23rd of February. At such an earlier scan you need not worry about the heart rate. A repeat ultrasound after two weeks would reveal whether the embryo is growing well. Your expected date of delivery is on 20th of October. Difference of two or three days can be given in ultrasound reports.
