What Could Cause Menstrual Irregularity?

i had thyroid problem. in my last blood report in jan 2011 thyroid was under control.. till january my periods were regular but last 1.5 months my periods are missed.. last week i did home pregrancy test, the result was negative. which tablet should i take to start periods
