Hi... i didnt get my periods this month. I visited doctor and had pregnancy test which was negative. She suggested me to take meprate twice a day for five days. Today is the last day of my medicine. Will i get my period tomorrow only or it may after two to three days.
Meprate tablet helps to induce withdrawal bleeding by acting on the endometrium. After stopping the tablet Meprate, due to the withdrawal effect the endometrium will shed and bleeding will occur. Sometimes this may take around one week to 10 days also. So after stopping the tablets as advised by your doctor you can wait for around one week and by that time you can get the bleeding.
If you do not get periods, even after two weeks of stopping the tablet Meprate, then you may need reevaluation, in that case, please consult your gynecologist once, go for an ultrasound to find out the possible cause and take treatment accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
